At Groundworks, we believe that the church exists to express the kingdom of God in society through each sphere. The first steps are realized when we abandon our privatized Christianity to embrace radical community and live relevant lifestyles. Because of the growing trend of what is now called “post modernity,” many persons are freely expressing an interest in faith matters and are cutting and pasting their beliefs outside the recognized borders of the church. MAKE Courses emerged in the midst of this changing landscape with a desire to set a stage to resource people emerging from this cultural and spiritual revolution, while helping them conceive and birth their dreams. At the start of the new millennium, a group of people gathered together to be a think tank with a goal to create a curriculum and infrastructure for a course that would attract this new type of person that was rising from the wings.
The purpose of train is to envisage what God is doing in the world and equip the body of Christ to make an effective response and contribution. Our goal is to form new training models that encourage a healthy learning environment. We do this by nurturing a brains trust to research curriculum ideas and effect appropriate learning outcomes.
